I can never understand why non-believers even care about the hereafter and the punishments for those times...if you don't believe...then why mention it? Surely it is ridiculous to talk about things and attach importance to them, its rather like saying 'santa claus' has a slave race of elves who do all the hard work all year whilst he collects the admiration of the masses for a nights work!'....

Stating what is a belief of ours does explain our reasons for obeying the rules. You only think it patronising because you don't like it. I think you'll find that I will argue with anyone who posts an illogical post on here.
What I meant to try and express was posts like "all you non-believers are going to ... *insert suitable warning here*". only come over as pointless. If we are non-believers, we wont believe in what the comments are saying will happen to us "after". Thus, it makes the "threat" post pointless, does it not?
And, I feel that some of them come over as an attempt to be "I'm pure, because I believe". I dont for example post "You Religious people on here are wasting your life, as there will be nothing awaiting you after death". And if I did, I would expect some comment back from religious people about it.
It is not an issue about your religion, but people - if you think i'm going to hell "after", good for you. I personally dont think that at all.
And, I dont need exagerated posts which to me are more and more pointless, the more extreme they become.
Basically, I respect peoples right to believe in religion, and dont go posting after their posts about how its all rubbish, so i dont really need people posting about my "supposed" doom "after" death. |

Polly, I dont think that it is wrong to follow a guide to good living - after all, it's not like people dont do this sort of thing naturally (or else, why would there be hobbies/clubs/diets/DIY books etc).
I think you should relax a little, as you are taking it all to heart. |

What's to be at war about? Seems to be a battle just to get you guys to explain your beliefs. Would seem you have little faith in that which you claim to follow. That's often the way though, when the truth is presented. Can't accept it, so I know, lets 'try' and offend and belittle them.
