I notice you have decided to refrain from entering into any discussion with me or answering any of my questions. Probably a wise decision on your part as you have already made yourself look extremely small minded. It was nice to see that my suspicions about you were well founded vis a vis you calling me a Jew when my opinion happened to differ from yours slightly??!!
What you seemed to completely misunderstand was that when I refer to Israel, I refer to a land..a place if you will. This land is occupied by people who follow all 3 of the worlds major religions.I see these people as equals-you know, humankind??!!
I have my views on the political situation there but these views are derived from actual experience in both Israel and Palestine, not propaganda videos on youtube.
I am not interested in entering into another discussion with you as I feel this would be pointless. What I would say is what I stated in a previous post.....

Having lived in Israel and Palestine for 8 years and having formed strong friendships with Christians.muslims and jews, I can categorically state that you and a few others here are completely misrepresenting the situation and day to day life. You are hate-mongering at best and I find your attitude scary and your outlook blatantly racist.
If you are so concerned about Israel..I mean you spend every day on here writing about it for hours, have you ever thought that it might be an idea to actually do something pro active and visit??
What a crazy idea that is!! Rolling Eyes ...actually seeing something and studying something before attempting to educate the world.

You are a pathetic racist. This discussion is over.

Manjuva, my husband is not racist, and we for many years had Jewish neighbours who though they have moved on, still keep in touch, and we help them and vice versa where able.

We are fully aware of the fact that 3 major faiths live in Palestine and Israel. And that people per se just wish to live and let live, but I believe you are minimising the lives of all when you suggest there is no problem. Many thousands of Palestinians are displaced, there are many many Palestinians who are imprisoned including children. The water supplies, medical supplies etc...do get withheld, so to suggest that is spreading 'hate' is wrong...it is revealing injustice. There are also people here, aside from yourself, who have indeed spent time in Palestine, and I have a very close non-Jew friend who spent a couple of years in Israel (Kibbutz), I also have close friends who spent time travelling and were shocked by the blatant comparisons in the lives of the Palestinians and the Israelis.

I am glad you treat all with your compassion and friendship equally, but that does not make their positions in life equal at all.

Peace

me too, the first Harry Potter is the coolest by far...I do like the others, but the first and the original Dumbledore captured the essence of the books I thought! The last book seems too 'crimped'...I don't know, its kinda a great plot, but misses the usual 'mark'. I guess just wanted it to not end hehe!

There is nothing nicer than chilling out with a book is there? I've a Laurie Lee and a couple of others to read to, but was awaiting HP and didn't want one of my pals to let the cat out of the bag... Laughing

Whilst the hubby and kids were playing monsters on the beach...I just stuck my head in the book!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Feel much better for a wee break from here, but I think as long as peeps keep spreading that 'Islam' translates as something to fear and hate I'll keep coming back... twilight zone! hehe
