I think we all could do with some relaxation....so lets all have a go at some yoga.
Ok so I think beginners sun salutation routine would be a great place to start. Everyone ready? This should be done in a fluid motion of position changes with a breath (inhaled or exhaled at each position change) Very Happy Begin as follows:
stand in tandasana with the hands in prayer postion at the heart, then inhale and bring arms out and up into urdhva hastasana postion. In this postion press the palms together, keep the arms straight and take the gaze up towards your thumbs.

From Downward Facing Dog, inhale and draw the torso forward until the shoulders are over the wrists and the whole body is in one straight line. This is very similar to the position you would take if you were about to do a push up. Press the forearms and hands firmly down, do not let your chest sink, press back through the heels. Keep the neck in line with the spine and broaden the shoulder blades
this is Plank position

From Plank position, Exhale and drop the knees to the floor. Bring the chest and chin forward and down to the floor, bringing the chest to rest right between the hands. Keep the elbows hugging into your sides. Keep the hips high.

this is Knees, Chest, and Chin position (another favourite of mine and someone else I know Wink )

From Knees, Chest, and Chin position, inhale and release the tops of the feet to the floor and press them down. Slide your chest forward and up keeping your hands exactly where the were. Roll your shoulders back and lift the chest higher, while keeping the low ribs on the floor.

This position is called low Cobra

Embarassed I was here to workout, but I'm a lil embarrased now. I'll just sit here cross legged and do arithmatic in my head.

1 x 10 = 10
2 x 10 = 20

I understand that hun. The cobra is the better pose to do for beginners or those with injuries that need some TLC. And some neck exercises before hand are good too.

yes, I injured my back a few times...in Gymnastics, in kung fu, and a guy 'poked' me between two vertebrae... agony!

I get a 'clunk grind' movement now so have to be careful...but was told yoga would probably sort it!

hereis hoping! Laughing

I think I'll give it a go now though... that had the 'chi' flowing...like kung fu minus the bruises! Laughing
