I'm confused, how can a bunch of submissive liberals show superiority to anyone ? Rolling Eyes

Quote:
"It seems that these days, wracked by guilt at the humanitarian crisis it has created in the Middle East, the West has turned to Africa for redemption.
Idealistic college students, celebrities such as Bob Geldof, and politicians such as Tony Blair have all made bringing light to the dark continent their mission.

There is no African, myself included, who does not appreciate the help of the wider world, but we do question whether aid is genuine or given in the spirit of affirming one’s cultural superiority"

The only way africa will improve is when the people there get off their arses and get their act together.
The west has been pumping billions in for years yet it always goes back to square one.
Time to leave them to their own devices Im afraid.

You can see the guy's point. The UK and others were dusted down and stood on their feet with help from Uncle Sam after WWII. It done good, but by Christ, the American cultural juggernaught has swamped most of the West, and where it hasn't they're mostly laying back panting for it.
