Thank God I use Google a lot...
I received an email from this Maria Redmond woman... and what caught my attention is that she talks about a balcony in her text, but in the pictures... this is a ground floor apartment.
That's why I decided to Google her...and use Google Earth as well beause there, this address she gives me doesn't strike me as a house people would live in... more like a warehouse!
Hate these scammers...

OMG!!!
My boyfriend and I were about to "move in". We arleady got the tenancy agreements and everything, now she wanted us to send money through Western Union, to her lawyer based in London of course. I told her I wouldn't do that and she got back to me saying that the receipt the lawyer would get served as a booking confirmation. Maybe I play the game with her a little bit till my boyfriend goes there next week and wants to see the place before we move in... See how she reacts... Or he... the phantom.
So dont send your passports to her, maybe that way she runs out of identities soon (Im kinda waiting to see my name here in the forum, cos we got as far as to send her ours...)
By the way, I got the same long description that Kate and Linda issued before...

It is a scam!!!! and i have her passport photo, it is obvious it is faked!
Hi,
Thanks for your email. I would have loved to meet you first before we proceed, but I am very busy at this time. I have lots of people asking for the rooms immediately i place the advert, you'll have to act very fast if you really want to rent a room.

I'm not in town right now, i'm here in Berlin for marketing some of our products and i won't be back until 2 weeks. But, i will not allow that to stop your viewing and moving in as i will be sending you the apartment keys and necessary documents but all these will be after the security deposit payment for the apartment so that i can be sure that you are serious about renting the room.

I understand and accept that you have to see the apartment before you make any payment, but you need to be considerate as well. You will make the security deposit and a month rent (760 pounds) to any of your friend, family, partner or anybody in London (from you to....such person) through any western union outlet around you, i will only need to confirm the payment with western union so that i can be sure you are capable and fully prepared to rent the room.

Then, i will have the keys and other necessary documents couriered to you with a next day delivery as i will not be able to leave Berlin now due to my work, If you can do that i will be convinced that you are serious and capable of meeting the demands for i can bet you will like the property.

When i return, whoever you send the money to will go and collect the money back, that is when you will pay me in cash and sign the rental agreement in the presence of my lawyer.

I make the suggestion for the security of both of us because i cannot tell you to pay for a property you've not viewed and i also need to know that i am not dealing with a time waster because it cost a little to advertise.
The transfer charges will be deducted from the first month rent you will be paying me in cash or given to you on the spot.

I have attached my international passport photo page with this email because you will need to print it out and taken with the lease agreement form to the apartment when you are moving in. If there is anything you don't get right please get back to me right now as i can access the computer.

it will be better if we chat on MSN, we will get to understand each other better, my id is cute.princess013@hotmail.com

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Have a great day
Linda.

Hi,
Thank's so much for the email signifying your interest in my property. My name is Henry and I have the flat for rent. The rent is 580£ per month including all bills (electricity, gas, water, internet) and the council tax. I moved in Milan,Italy where I got a new job working in a hospital. You can rent the flat as long as you need to stay even for 2 or 3 years. The first payment will be for 2 months(1160£).In case you want it, let me know so we can arrange the transaction. For me it is very hard to come in UK. If I will come in UK to show you the flat anytime you want I have to be sure you are genuinely looking for a flat.As you can see in the photos everything was newly decorated and it is a fully furnished flat
and also benefits from wood flooring. You have internet connection, phone, washing machine with dryer, cable TV and most important parking place. I wait your response.
Thanks and email me!

excellent grammar Henry! [/b]

PROCEDURE FOR VIEWING‏
From: John mc (mc.schlaeppi@hotmail.com)
Sent: Tuesday, June 17, 2008 11:57:08 AM

Hello,

All bills are included with house rent so you don't nneed to pay any bills again,It will be possible for you to come for viewing, but presently am working with Rogerstan Finance Ltd in Cardiff for a 6 months contract which will expire in OCTOBER.I intend to rent out my flat to a responsible and God fearing person who will be willing to take care of my flat .I will be willing to come in from Cardiff on account of a genuine reason,as soon as you have a proof to set you aside from all the time wasters who book an appointment and do not meet up and some come up but with a story of not having money at hand and begging me to wait till the end of the month for salary.I will like to know if you are coming with your friend to live in my flat? How many months do you intend to stay in my flat?Would you be able to take care of my flat? Then if you will be coming for viewing,i will like you to differentiate yourself from the time wasters and weak financial status.I have had several cases of people we had a deal for viewing and fail to turn up and making me look like a fool at the tube station and also some getting to viewing and messing up by telling me they have no money yet to pay for the rent.I have consulted my lawyer and we have resolved that any interested candidate should be able to prove in the following way in order to determine who is financially buoyant and that he or she can stick to appointment when scheduled. You will have to send money to your friend or your partner who is close to you thru western union money shop close to you,the total sum of one month rent and security and damages which at least stands for your financial affordabilty of the rent in other to know your financial strenght of renting a flat, after this the details on the receipt will be sent to me as my lawyer makes verification of your affordabilty of the rent, then you can tell your friend to pick it up after viewing my flat, have also decided to refund back to you the transfer charges when you come for viewing.Bring along the receipt of the payment so i can return to you back the transfer charges when coming for viewing...Please note that i have not instructed you to send money to me but instead a trustworthy friend who can later pick up for you after the arrangement for viewing has been secured.

Thanks for your understanding and hope to read from you soon as we proceed. Please dont forget that i will be refunding back to you the transfer charges with the proof of the payment receipt.Once it is confirmed valid by my lawyer,i will meet up with you soon for a proper viewing and we can conclude every other necessary documentations before i take my leave back to Cardiff. You can reach me on my phone number for more information or explanation. 07035904602

This are the information required from the receipt for verification should in case you cant get a scanner.

Name of Sender:Your Friend Name
Name of Receive:You own Name
Sender Address:You Address
Mtcn 10 Digits Number:Will be given to you at western union money shop office
Amount Sent:1100 Pounds

Thanks
