Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone would consider Forest Hill (or Honor Oak, Sydenham) as a place to live? Its 15 mins from London Bridge (9 on the fast train) and is leafy and as far as I have experienced, friendly. For people who work in the City or Canary Wharf it is far closer than West London - but it doesnt seem to popular with travellers.
Is it because its not on the tube?
Comments anyone? |

Yo!
I live in Forest Hill and it's a fab place! Cheap, massive supermarket and good transport (trains, buses and a good night bus) with lots of green space and it's relatively safe. As for the tube, the East London Line should be there within a few years (this is a really fast line direct to canary Wharf).
I'd really recommend it! |

I live there too (only for the last couple of months) - and I really like it - I just dont understand why there arent a whole bunch of Aussies, Kiwis, Saffies etc there. Cheap rent and close to town.
Confuses me! |
