hi everyone,

i've recently got a job in dagenham, and need to move down from near manchester. i like the cosmo atmosphere in london, but ideally want to be near work... hence was wanting some advice on where to live. i have been advised that hornchurch is a nice place, but its quite far from the centre, and ideally like to be closer in... i've been told that the east end is a bit dubious, and was wondering where the boundary was where its considered 'alright'? i have a car, but will probably get a motorbike (i don't think you have to pay congestion charges with a bike?) so will be able to commute to the centre, while hopefully being quite close to work...

if that made any sense i'd be glad of some advice!!!!
