Hello there,
Is there anyone who can give me some advice? I'm trying to start up my own business and wish to manufacture some clothing designs in China later this year but don't have the capital to pay for the vast amounts that they ask for as their minimum order quantity.
When I approach buyers, if they agree to place an order with me would they have to give me a deposit first or am I totally liable to pay for the entire order BEFORE they receive the goods?
I'd be really grateful if anyone can help me out here. Thank you in advance! |

put yourselves in their shoes
Some random comes up and says I've got these wonder items to sell you, they're like ok cool, we'll have X amount, you say right give me £x and I'll get them for you.... not going to happen is it. You only pay for the items after you've recieved them, what makes you think that the people/companies are going to have the cash flow to give you money before they get the items. If it's a good idea, go to a bank and they will lend you the money |

No prizes for guessing what 'D' stands for!
Could anyone please share their experience with payment terms between themselves and a retailer? |
