Now I watched that program where elephants are rolling about in mud because it removes ticks/paracites etc.

But does mud have any washing/cleaning/purification/medical benefits to human skin ?

I wonder this as there are mud masks & such like and in away washing with mud would be greener than chemicals in soap...

I also wonder do the bugs in mud have any antiseptic qualities - like they stick honey on wounds to 'draw out' bad infections does mud do the same ?

I could then ask to unify the topic - which is better for you a bath in honey or a bath in mud ?

There you are hl hanging out in the Green Room Very Happy . I dedicated a thread to your whereabouts and imlooking told me you'd been here. Have you traded in the the dulcit environment of Community for more greener pastures?

It depends on the properties of the "Mud", obviously, HL.
I plastered myself in mud in Dalaman, Turkey. Baldrick was there at the same time doing the same thing! It smelled of sulphur and regular use helps arthritic aches and pains.
Recently, I was in Torrevieja, Spain and the mud at the salt flats there is brilliant for curing excema and healing skin in general. It is obviously loaded with salt - which is a natural disinfectant/antiseptic.
