| IM WRITING THIS IN FRUSTRATION, AS IM FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO IMPOSIBLE TO FIND ANY LANDLORDS THAT TAKE HOUSING BENEFIT, THE FEW WHO DO ACCEPT HB WANT TO RENT YOU SOMETHING NO ONE ELSE WANTS,WE ARE A DECENT FAMILY WHO HAVE ONLY EVER CLAIMED HOUSING BENEFIT FOR THE PRESENT PROPERTY WE ARE AT NOW,WE KEEP THE HOUSE IN GREAT CONDITION, PAY OUR RENT ON TIME, AS WE HAVE TO COVER SOME OF THE RENT OURSELVES,WE ARE MOVING SO WE CAN FIND WORK FURTHER SOUTH, SO PLEASE LANDLORDS PLEASE DONT TAR US WITH THE SAME BRUSH, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE, PS 3/4 BEDROOM NEEDED SEMI IN ESSEX OR THEREABOUTS RANT OVER. |

This type of message is posted here on a very regular basis, plus across other forums I browse that deal with accommodation.
Perform a search of this forum using keywords like Housing Benefit, DSS, to see the responses and advice given there.
You could post an ad on landlord forums to try and identify those with properties in that area, such as the residential forum on www.landlordzone.co.uk
Here's a thread to a debate that indicates it might get even tougher for claimants to find accommodation when Housing Benefit is replaced with Local Housing Allowance.
