There was a ad a few days ago on a monitor, which was quite cheap brand new. I called the seller and he said he can meet me tomorow at an Internet cafe in Tooting.

I said ok, he also said box is sealed but I can open it and test it in the net cafe for about £2 which I dont mind at all.

If this was to be successful then I would call a Taxi to drive me back as I dont want to carry a expensive monitor around (I dont have a car!)

Could there be a scam involved in this? I was once scammed - I paid £90 for a laptop, the bags were swaped whilst I wasnt concentrating, so, the bags I actually got had lemonade in it. Never will be a victim of that!

Any thought?

Thanks

You can check for dead pixels and different resolution settings but one thing you will find difficult to check is any problems that might occur after a few hours of use.

Best bet is to buy from someone you can trust will be around if something does go wrong. Do you have their address and number?
