We are a group of 8 Brits planning a record-breaking journey from Perth to Brisbane between 25th August and 29th December. 7 of us will be travelling in support vehicles (still looking for these!) whilst the last member of the team, a guy called Dave, will be skateboarding the whole way on a funny looking yellow board. Yes, he's planning to skate 6000km, across the Nullarbor and around the coast from Adelaide through Melbourne, Sydney until we reach Brisbane.

This project, called BoardFree, is in aid of three children's charities and also hopes to encourage kids of all ages and abilities to take up sports. We're looking for friends all the way around Australia and whether you can offer good local advice, want to get more involved and arrange a fundraiser, or even are willing to let us camp in your garden we'd love to hear from you.
