Hi I called HO today and found it very strange what they said to me. They said they do not hold any paper work for the univisas clients and that it is still held by police and HO has got nothing to do with it and therefore are not processing anything what so ever. I am surprised as to how the others got their paperwork back and visas stamped.

Kindly all the people who have got their visas, update the forum to let us know how they got so lucky. It might help the remaining people.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

As far as I know HO has been in touch with my solicitor regarding further paperworks, but have not heard back from them. It has been almost 3 weeks now. As paperless said hopefully everything will turn out in our favor.

univisa must have included a lot of false doc in your application and that might be the reason for your documents still being held. Different people had their applications at different stages of processing when uni visa people were put on trail, and therefore many different outcomes. Also speak to HO again and ask who is holding your docs? is it harm and compliance? any one in past told you that they are holding on to your Docs? if some one did, contact them.

Well as far as i know and provided all the docs r genuine and there was no need for any false docs but just used a sol to make it faster and it all ended up delaying further. Anyways when i called last week the lady said it's under consideration but the guy confused me by saying everyone's paperwork is still with police and uk border agency has got nothing to do with it and when i said his colleague gave different info, he replied well she did not know. I am confused who is telling the truth here.
If anyone else calls please post their reply to find out who is saying the right thing. Thanks.

Hi!! Did anyone call HO or has any info about our paperwork. Has everything been passed over to HO or stillbeing held by police? Kindly confirm if someone has correct info. Just want to analyse if the guy was lying that day and that the paperwork is with HO and they are working on it. Thanks.

Last Friday I phoned HO and they told me that my application is under process, a 20 second conversation after holding on for 22 minutes. It was very frustrating but yesterday I received my passport back with a Tier1 visa for 3 years. Thanks God for it. Good Luck to all of you who are still waiting.

Congrats freesoul, can you shed some light on your case, did you apply for extension yourself or you are one of those whose documents were confiscated by HO/Police during the raid at univisas.

Apart from that I would like to request all the members of this forum to keep updating and contributing to this forum until every one of us gets the answers + documents from HO.

I know some of you have gone back to their countries, some have moved on with their lives putting this behind as a bad experience of their life, and some are still stuck awaiting for their documents.

I myself have been visiting this forum from very early days until today, some days I visit this web page many times a day looking for an update, and I must admit that the relief and information that this forum has given us doesn't compete with any other source of information. keep up the good work please !

I myself feel sorry and apologise for not being updating this forum very much but to be honest I didn't had much information to input.

Thanks

I applied for HSMP using Univisas services and application was successful and I got my passport back stamped with visa till DEC 2009. My son was born (in the U.K) during my application was under process and I applied for dependent visa for him and for my wife using Univisas services. They asked me to provide me more documents and I posted them the documents. They told me that my dependents application have been forwarded to Home office. This is the point when trouble started.
I don’t remember the dates but after failing to contact Univisas on phone, I went to their office and found no one. I didn’t knew what to do, and after some days I went to police station in Southall and they told me about Univisas were under investigation. I contacted home office and explained them the situation that my family applied for dependent visa using Univisas and I need to change the return address. H.O dropped a shell on me by saying that they received no such application. In this time of confusion I first saw this forum and the contact details of harm and compliance team. I contacted them on phone and gave them all detail but they also told me that they don’t have my documents. Now I was convinced that my documents must be lost in the post. I went to my consulate (Embassy) in London for new passports. This was not easy because of my old style passport required a verification from its place of issue and it took ages. I also needed many other documents like child birth certificate, university degree certificate, bank statements etc and it took a lot of time.

Cutting it short, In Mar/ Apr 2009 I applied for a fresh application under Tier 1 for myself and also included my dependents documents. I did this application myself with the help of a couple of very close friends , and used no solicitors. H.O posted me a confirmation of receiving my application. After one month, I received a letter from Harm and compliance team telling me that they are retaining my documents because of my previous application made by Univisas. They also “threaten” Evil or Very Mad me to cancel my present HSMP visa (valid till Dec 2009) if I am not fulfilling the requirement of HSMP rules or fail to prove so within 14 days. They wanted to know what I was doing since I got the visa, in term of job, to support my family and myself without public funds etc. I provided them all they asked for, and no reply from them. I wrote them many times but no reply. It was a couple of months ago that I received a letter stating that my application was forwarded to a caseworker and there are no charges on me. I have received my passports and my depended passports back with 3-year visa. Thanks God for all this is over now. I hope all of you who are still in the process may have the good news soon.

Thanks very much for responding "freesoul" and "paperless, may I also ask other members to contribute to this as I greatly appreciate freesoul's detailed response to my question. I know you guys are visiting this forum and don't have much to say, but please come out and just say hello at least, that will tell everyone how mah of us are actually involved in the pickle.

Apart from that as far as I have seen and learnt, there is no consistency or hard rules which HO are applying to filter the documents for different applicants, some people have just been lucky enough that HO never even bothered to look and granting them further visas/extensions and some have been quite unlucky and been through thick and thin like "freesoul" and kept under microscope. I think it all depends who is your case worker. what do you think guys !!!

Thanks for all the info Freesoul.
And yes i think you are right smartguy, it might depend on the caseworker. But are they working on our files or the papers are still with the police. Like i said ealier i got 2 different responses with 4 to 5 days, so its seems very confusing and frustating. Can someone also confirm that the paperwork has been forwarded to HO to work on or is still being held upon. And has the HO actually allotted caseworkers to our files or they are still sitting there and the HO is just taking them for granted.

As tommorrow is saturday so will call them on monday and update the forum either way.

Goodluck to all who are still waiting. Be patient and just pray for the best outcome.

I applied through univisa on Dec 2007: and I think in feb all trouble started:
I called up home office after 3 months because I dint know what was happening and home office told me that the lost my passport and had no clue where it was. They send me a letter stating that they had lost my passport and told me to apply a new passport.
I applied for a new passport and send it to them and this is when things again went wrong for me . They instead of sending to my new address they posted it to the agency address. I recieved no letter from them after that till april this year . That's when they asked me on what I was doing for the last year and also the same letter I believe freesoul got. I was not working but was doing bits and piecces here and there and I told them the same and I started looking for a job with the letter I got from them.
I worked for a month but my employer wanted my passport and told me to get in touch with home office and they cant employ me without the passport
I wrote to them of this condition and this is goinig back 3 months .

I am still awaiting news from them and checking my mail , oh well since the postal strike .......its all amiss

Nice to hear that people have started to come forward, I know most of the time there's not much information to provide but of course it morally helps just by saying Hello. At least we can see we're not alone.

Dear friend,

it looks like u r just keen to know and less keen to act.

Those who are still awaiting results can make a group and file the application through a solicitor which is what we did.

we were 15 members and It costed us around 1k each and we paid 15k in total to our solicitor who represented us.

I can then take you all to the same solicitor. let me know when you are all ready and we can meetup at the solicitors office.

regards

Hi Right Indian, Thanks for your reply.
Is there any way it can be sorted without a solicitor or that is the only available option?
Just wondering was your case different like free soul or you had applied for HSMP from univisas.
Please tell a little bit about your story so we can gather where we are standing. Thanks.
