I have been advertising my massage service in Surrey on Gumtree for the last eight months and have found almost all my regular clients via my Gumtree ads. and when my ad. isn't up, I find I barely get anyone calling and it can be a worry, because the site can be slow in authorising ads. to make sure they follow the posting guidelines. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone else advertise their own business on here and have had to depend on free classified ads. on the web to get work? There can be so much rubbish posed in the Therapeutic section in the Guildford Health, Beauty & Wellbeing and luckily almost everyone I've spoken to says I advertise properly amongst a lot of services that don't look too promising.

I've just done a search for "massage guildford" and there are only 7 pay per click advertisers. That means you could bid the minimum per click (I think it's 5 or 10p) and you will still be on the first page of results.

There you go. Some people would charge you a couple of grand for that info.

(obviously need a "website", one page would do)

Yet again my PAID ad had been taken down just like last week to be "reviewed" again when I've had exactly the same advert since October 2007 and this is really annoying me. I complain over again and sometimes it takes a member of staff a whole day to respond and this is not good enough. I am going to complain again and demand a free extra day of featured advertising considering I've paid for it!

What a relief, the ad is live again, but I can understand why people have complained about their ads. taking too long to go live, especially if you pay for priority featured listings. The featured listings are the first to come up in the Google searches, so it's worth paying for it, but make sure you do write and say something if the ads. are not up on the site within 24 hours. Then you should be entitled to a refund or free listing for whatever the amount of time the ad. was not live and should've been.

The Craiglist is one of them.
Which other ones do you use?
