I spend quite a lot of time each day removing porn from the forums. If you'd like to help then there's a link at the top of each post that says "Report to Admin" so you can do your bit there. Same goes for the Ads section.

I suspect your time could be much better spent doing than than whinging on every thread in here gums!

its not up to users to keep the site clean it is gumtrees responsibility. anyway half the time you report an ad nothing gets done about it, and they are all back the next day anyway !!! so whats the point.

If you ain’t happy, feel free to try somewhere else or even start your own site,

The whole concept of gumtree seems to be local face to face free advertising.
I am interested in educating people so they can recognize scammers, unfortunately some people either are not capable of or do not want to be educated. It would amaze you how common sense goes out the window when people think they have a bargain.

Btw, because of the inapropriate and rude way that you've spoken to Runestave and myself, I'm now going to spend 30 minutes writing a letter addressed directly to Jacqui Smith at the Home Office, expressing my concerns that Gumtree is being used mainly by illegal immigrants working on the black economy, and request that it is investigated.

Considering their new clampdown on this kind of activity I think they will be interested.

Don't bother deleting this as I've already copied it (and the thread) and if you do so I will email it to the Gumtree management so they can see what kind of damage your ignorant attitude is inflicting on their otherwise excellent business.
