Did you say no to marketing but still get annoying calls from 3G and Toucan from some stupid indian call centres.
Why are telewest allowed to sell our details?
I'm ex directory and they still contact me and even know my name!
anyone else plagued by these crap english speaking morons does anYone know if this is legal or how to stop it?

Oh hell yeah. None of these sodding callers can speak English either. I hate Telewest. Been with them since 1995. Contact Citizens Advice. If you stated you didn't want cold calls, junk mail etc in writing you may well have a good leg to stand on. |

| I've been having the same problem. I ended my contract with them months ago because I've moved to talk talk, but I still keep getting annoying sales calls from them. |

Under Government legislation introduced on 1st May 1999 and replaced on 11th December 2003 by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, it is unlawful to make unsolicited direct marketing calls to individuals who have indicated that they do not want to receive such calls.
You can either do this by contacting companies directly and asking them not to call you or you can register with a central register - the TPS. |
