Hi all,
Wondering if I'm dreaming - I'm looking for a live/work unit and wondered if anyone had any tips? I've searched through the listings here, but it doesn't seem what I need is on here, just bedsits and studio flats, whereas I'm looking for a real Live/Work unit that has enough space for my start up business as well as me to live.
Am at the end of my tether with this one, as just can't afford London property prices for the amount of space I need (its a fashion/costuming business) - ie can't afford to buy somewhere - but need to be in London or near.
Any ideas very gratefully received, or if anyone has any tips on what to search for on the listings (have actually trawled through most of the adverts on the boards, not just searched for live/work units btw )
Many thanks in advance,
H |

I would have thought that live/work units were at the more expensive end of the spectrum as they have trendy connotations - could be wrong as this is just a guess.
Rather than have both work/live together, have you considered finding a small business unit in the area in which you live?
Or, does your budget stretch to 2 bedrooms - 1 for sleeping, 1 for work?
Why not contact your local business enterprise unit for advice - there are bodies that help with all aspects of business start up so they may have some good pointers for you. |
