While you are reading this, the Iranian reactor produces enriched bomb-grade uranium. Terrorists can deliver that bomb to your city, and it can kill you and your children. Yet the government does nothing.
Do we demand violence? Not in any common sense. Similarly, police use force to arrest criminals in order to stop violence.
But Iran is not a criminal? Wrong. Iran has proven malicious intent. Iran, under the current regime, conducted many terrorist bombings in the West, and sponsors deadly terrorists. Iranian leaders repeatedly called for fight against the United States and annihilation of Israel.
Perhaps Iran needs nuclear weapons for self-defense? No. Iran already bullies the Middle East with its huge conventional army. No country threatens Iran.
Since the eighth-century jihad and the Ottoman army at the gates of Vienna, the West has never been exposed to such threat. Iran’s several nuclear bombs can inflict more damage on America than the World War II. Never before the Islamic fundamentalists who hate the West and dream of attacking it had military might of apocalyptic dimensions. Are you crazy to doubt they will use the bomb?
We call on the United States: Do not hesitate. Protect your people. Protect your allies. Destroy the Iranian reactor!

Iran is an enemy of Israel.
Israel has nuclear weapons.
Makes sense that Iran would like to have some too.
And they do have a right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

| would it not be more logical to your cause to create a petition against the US, the UK and Israel, for are they not the ones to, not only harbour nuclear weapons, but also use them as a mechanism of exerting force and pressure onto many nations (namely in the middle east)? and indeed, the only nation in the history of mankind to actually have the inhumane capacity to administer these weapons unto a people, has been the United States of America. So please, do something worthwhile rather than something that is both foolish and blind. |

i must be forgetting my history - of course the japs were a model occupation force in china / korea / singapore and elsewhere in asia. They ensured all captives were well fed and provided with health care - they did not massacre civilians or mass rape women - they did not starve peopel to death - they did not cause countless thousands to die in work camps - they did not kill countless civilians

Lets face it nothing we say or any amount of signing petitions is going to make any difference. How many lorry loads of petitions have been dumped outside Downing Street and gone straight to the recycling. Better save the paper as if we don't get blown up it won't matter cuz the world will be poluted to death anyway.
Anyone heard of the song by Goldy Looking Chain - 'Guns don't kill people rappers do'. Maybe from concentrating on world peace and not selective enforcement we may achieve something.
PS Funny how the US knew Korea had a nuclear program and did nothing, but enetered Iraq. Wonder if the lack of resourses had anything to do with it?
