Hi
I posted an ad on your forum, however on testing it I found that the emails you're sending are not being delivered to my account, so I haven't had the confirmation email. This means I can't change the ad to email my other account as I haven't got a reference number. Please can someone contact me direct to sort this out. Thanks. |

Hi there,
Try finding your ad on the site by searching for some text you put in it in the category you put it in. The reference number is in the bottom right of the ad.
Then go to the edit ad page here:
http://www.gumtree.com/cgi-bin/add_posting.pl?action=enter_password
Enter the reference and the password you created, and you should be able to edit the ad.

| Thanks, this seems to work. But can you explain why the first email didn't work, I've used it several times before on your boards with no problems. Is it likely to be a change at my end? I have received a mail from this forum successfully. |

Hi
I've sent further test emails from the advertisement's submission form and none of these has arrived at either mailbox. I have also sent emails to the same addresses from other mailboxes, and these have arrived, so I must conclude there's something wrong with the form. The reference number is 5781615.
Is it possible to see if other mail has been submitted to this ad?

Hi there,
This is very strange.
We've tested this carefully today and the email system seems to be working fine - for example test messages to a number of gmail and hotmail accounts sent through the site are coming through in a matter of seconds today. I've also sent a test message from support at gumtree.com to your account as on that advert. Are you sure you have entered your email correctly?
Unfortunately we don't have tracking on responses sent.
Occasionally someone at your end could have set up a spam or junk filter incorrectly to block our emails - then it is a matter for your mail host or IT department - but if you are using gmail I doubt this.
If you have any more trouble please email that support address and we'll look into it further - apologies for this.
