hey lisa

if you get a work permit your prob best working as a teacher, N.Z has a shortage of teachers esp good ones....i live in auckland and pay $100NZD rent a week for my flat which is a four bedroom house in east auckland......the best thing about being a techer is u'll get the school holidays off to travel!!!!!!!! id imagine u'd get $35000NZD per year which would be sweet to live in a nice house travel and go clubbing in the weekends!!!! have fun N.Z rocks you'll love it down here im sure

Heya Lisa,

Im a kiwi girl living in London, as for jobs in NZ, failing teaching, which as Troy said is in demand back home, try bar work, most Irish themed pubs back home seem to have Irish bar staff, and all cities seem to have an Irish pub.
There is always some sort of Fruit picking work in the Hawkes Bay area around January, and if you are there still there in May thats when the Kiwifruit season starts, and they are always looking for workers although this kind of work does not pay well, it is easy to get and they don't seem to worried about visa's.
Auckland is the most expensive city in NZ, so in other towns you can get a lot cheaper rent, expect to pay between $50 - $100 depending on where you end up living, Im from Tauranga where all the kiwifruit are and you can usually board there for fairly cheap.

Cheers
Jods
