Alright so I still have a few more years of school left and I'm thinking of moving over seas for a short period of time during the summer of Junior/Senior year, Just to get a feel for it.

Where would you guys recommend me going that isn't scary or EXTREMELY pricey? I really want to visit London and get a feel for the whole enviornment but i dont want to go somewhere i'll regret!

I suggest Islington. It's right near the Angel tube station and is full of students from all over the world. It's a nice area, very active and safe, full of shopes, pubs and everything else a visitor would need. It's also easy to get anywhere from there.
Good luck with your visit.

i would recommend hackney

its a lovely area and as a yank i am sure it will feel much like home

the locals are somewaht primitive but highly entertaining

is a cultured place with random drive bys to keep you on your toes

the ale houses now mainly serve crack and special brew - but hey who needs choice

the crack whores are freely avaiable on most street corners and will offer you service for as little as 50p (less than a dollar)

when your are drunk you can play dot to dot by linking the blood splats along the pavements

haha hackney sounds like chicago, LA, and NYC all mingled together as one...

i might go with the first choice.
