right, so i basically woke up and realised im sick of everything i do.
i always grew up imagining myself living in central London with cool like minded people, gigs/festivals and bars every night and a really good job.
ive ended up still in Essex where i was born, lost contact with every real friend i had and now im stuck with people who dont, in any way, shape or form, understand me.
it may sound melodramatic (and more than likely is) but its exactly how i feel.
ive got the job sorted, i love what i do and can afford to live a comfortable life, but i want to meet new people, and ideally, move into central London.
can anybody advise me how to do this?
ive spent so long following my crowd and relying on others that i have no idea how to to this on my own, where can i meet people i will actually get on with?
im thinking wondering the streets alone looking for friends may not be the done thing nowadays...in fact it will more than likely be the end of me.
and where is the best place for me to live in London??
i work in Victoria, so im guessing the closer the better.
im happy to spend up to around £700 a month all in, and would love to share a flat with some cool people. (might even push to 800 if the people were really nice)
any advice would be really appreciated!!! |

omg i'm totally in a similar position.
I'm looking to move to oxford or spain!
I just hate where I am now. Friends have moved away and that. Still living where I grew up n all.
We both gotta just get up and go! But i'll have to leave my job which is a good one so i'm reluctant to make the move:(
To quote from a episode of scrubs "look into your heart and do what makes you happy"
As for making friends, rent an apartment with at least 2 guys/girls around your age and you will either make friends with them or make friends through them. And take up a hobby or sport or going to an evening class of some sort.
You could also just walk up the street and meet people that way, talk to random people. You can call them your friends.. but they might be afraid of you...
Keep in touch if you like... we might soon be living an hour apart. Would be nice to chat to someone about the big move also
