I've checked the rules and ridiculing other members is not allowed as is offensive behaviour.

So in that case please explain why people are allowed to insult people including saying they wish other users would die and using language I could only class as perverted and degrading.

Maybe a moderator could visit the "community" forum and read some of the posts left by a coupoe of users in particlar.

Thaks

Please report any forum posts that breach the rules using the link in every thread (or by email to forums@gumtree.com), and please include the url in your email.

If you don't report them, we won't review them.

These are, however, tolerant open adult forums where free speech is encouraged, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Thanks,

Cant see the link on the thread, that whu I was asking.

I'm all up for free speech and all but telling one person they want them to die because they are on benefit, telling a girl who said she was depressed and considering suicide the best way to kill herself and calling another woman ... well, it wasnt very pleasent, is hardly mature conversation is it?

I'll try to find this report post button but I cant see it. I dont want to go around reporting posts and looking like a moaning prat because thats not my style. I just think some threads could do with, err, moderation.

It is mature conversation if it is said by an adult.

Let me put something to you. Instead of dumping the problem on the moderators doorstep did you consider posting good reasons why the person on benefits should not die, why the depressed girl should not kill herself and disproving what the woman was called?

Did you? No, you ran around screaming for the moderator because you were not capable of given a considered mature response.
