I have been trying this last few days to access the belfast page in gumtree and it seems to be unavailable quite alot. Is it just me having this problem. If so I'd be delighted if someone could tell me how i could rectify this problem.

Belfast is loading ok here at Gumtree HQ.

What ISP are you using?

Totally agree with you over2ubob, having the same problem accessing the belfast site, but all the others seem fine.

Must be a problem with HQ as I have never had a problem before.

over2ubob

It appears your web browser has been hijacked or your machine has a virus, the address that you are getting for belfast.gumtree.com is not Gumtree.

It won't matter what web browser you use.

If your computer is getting the wrong address for belfast.gumtree.com it simply won't work.

You need to check the windows hosts files and run a virus scanner asap

Ok, after some investigation, it looks like you are all using the same ISP, namely three.co.uk - are you all using 3G dongles for accessing the internet?

For some reason three.co.uk can't do a dns lookup for belfast.gumtree.com - can you all contact three.co.uk and explain that you can't access belfast.gumtree.com because their dns is broken?

Send them a link to this discussion if you like?

Had a return call from 3 regarding the above matter.. If any of you guys like me are on 3 dongle can you please report the problem to 3 direct as they cant act on my call alone to persue the issue, once they have received more calls from 3 users they can then advise their technicians on the problem...
