I posted a bit further down the forum...Im travelling to Singapore and up through most of Asia in September, by myself. When are you leaving? Check out my post and hit me with an email and we can have a further chat. Be great to meet some people doing the same thing this year!

Hi,
I'm looking at travelling from Moscow to Beijing on the Trans-siberian railway in early October then down through China to Vietnam, Lao and Cambodia. I aim to get there all by train too. If you fancy meeting up for any of the journey, let me know.

I haven't got it sorted out (ie booked yet) but I have a good idea of the dates and prices. I just need to wait for two more weeks before I book anything because of things going on at work.
The actual tickets for the train journey work out at around £500, which is good considering the 6000 miles travelled and essentially the accommodation for two weeks! But of course you have to sort out Visas etc which adds to the cost.
If you want to chat about it, you can find me here: http://www.travbuddy.com/paulo_uk
