I would like to make a complain against a moderator by the name of Montyzuma, it is beginning to feel like i am a target on here when i am merely trying to help people in the same boat as myself and i dont feel that i have to justify everything that i write for instance i found a site that i use and get paid to write stories on this moderator put false information about this site in the forum and when i corrected them i got a warning and they still put the site down, without actually signing up and doing what i do how would you know its a scam it works for me i have had no problems whatsoever with this site so they are basically calling me a liar and i will not stand for it anymore. I have had several people contact me from on here and they are extremely grateful for the information i gave them, like i said i am not affiliated with the site i am merely letting people who ask for help know about it i havent even posted the site name on here, i am just trying to help people like me who were asking for help and fed up of all the scams and months well years in my case of searching for something that is actually free to join for a change with no payment to them what you earn is what you get so it was a breath of fresh air finding it and during these tough times it is really helping me out, so if you could let me know how to report this moderator i would be very grateful

Sorry, if you have had problems, claire774. But the forum isn't really a place to be promoting that kind of thing. Montyzuma was merely enforcing the forum rules, as that is one of his duty's.

I think Montyzuma is a terrible moderator. He knows nothing about the site and regularly deletes posts that shouldnt be deleted.

However, that "work from home" crap is rightfully deleted. Theyre scams or they pay a pitance. Not worth anyone's time.

I havent had any posts deleted since I complained about you so I assume that you've been deleting them previous to that. And I never see other moderators on the "jobs" section so presumably its you erasing stuff. Could be some silent moderator, but I wouldnt think so.

For example, there was a thread recently about some guy looking for advice about finding commissions-only salespeople for his business. It was borderline spam, but after a few posts it became clear that it wasnt spam and he wasnt advertising for the role. It was still erased (like two weeks after he posted it at that).

Also, stuff that should be erased (e.g. all the ads for prostitution and discussion about prostitution) isnt erased.

As an example of you not knowing about the site, you once suggested that people shouldnt complain about their ads being deleted because its a free site. Its not a free site. People were complaining about their job ads being deleted and those cost money to post.

cant remember deleting any of your posts but if i did they must have deserved it.

i can assure you that any complaint you made about me certainly wasnt the cause of any subsequant posts getting not getting deleted.


posts get deleted if they break the rules which are posted for all to see.

if some slip through, as i say we are only human.
if i dont know anything about the workings of the gumtree site its because , i have nothing to do with that side of things.

I tend to give advice on stuff that I know about.
You perhaps are unaware of what a moderator on gumtree is for

There were absolutely no complaints from members within that thread and everyone who participated was actually getting along for a change.

Perhaps that is what was wrong with it.

And what about those other 3000 + posts of mine which were deleted ?

I'd really like an answer.

I'd like to lend you these, so that you may put SOME punctuation into your prose. My 6 yr old daughter could have worded that better. See like I am doing, inserting the ODD full stop and comma, just makes reading whatever drivel people put SO MUCH easier.

What people DO forget, and having been there myself as an unpaid moderator on forums, is that in most cases moderators have LITTLE or NO power other than to remove some ads or text. People continue to whinge and moan that nothing is being done, I can assure you that a fair bit is done by these UNPAID moderators. For a definition of UNPAID please use google !!!!!

Monty - keep up the good work, try and stop upsetting people and for those that whinge: Ignore em !!!!!!

forum mods have nowt to do with ads, we only get to play on the forum.
give advice, telling off peeps who break the rules etc etc there was a list of guidelines but the cat got it

nice peeps tend to get nice replies, others less so.

re mods, yup we are a dying breed.
