If you are living and working in London just for the summer period I would recommend trying to get a house share (try advertising on the gumtree). All house / flat contracts in England are for 6 months minimum so no use to you...
As for working try searching the web for temporary recruitment companies, summer jobs websites etc. |

that's not ture - many many flats have no contract at all. in fact, about 30%. look in the short lets on gumtree. its v. easy. actually, have just realised you want a whole house, not a room, therefore - disregard this - got no idea what i'm talking about.

Bloody hell...learn English before you come here! You are only here two months so you might blag your way into some bar or restaurant work, or day rate labour and you can find all of that online using the recruitment boards (Hays, Totaljobs, Monster etc). No one will look at you until you get here though and you will generally need work visa or Under 30 visa (assuming you are from Aus, NZ or SA?) if through agency and most employers these days.
Good luck
BTW: if you check out www.travellodge.co.uk you often find rooms for just £10.00 a night, including in central London, esp. Docklands and City Airport....the cheapo rooms are updated daily and worth a regular check...I use them every week day and never pay more than £26.00 a night and often get the £10.00 rate....sweet! |

Hello
This is where i stayed when i came last year to do a short course in summer in london. It is called John Cass Hall. I truely enjoyed my stay and was the cheapest in that zone with very good transport facilities. |
