Hi, we're a professional couple in Brighton (she mid 20's, he early 30's). We've been working hard on our media company for the past couple of years and we're looking to take a break for a month or so in Thailand over Christmas, start of Dec 'til start of Jan.
We're thinking the islands; somewhere to chill out, catch some sun (paradise beaches etc), crowbar in a bit of partying (full moon party?), with a group of like-minded people.
Most of our friends are working over Xmas or can't spare the cash, so we thought we'd check out whether anyone else with similar plans was interested in getting in touch.
About us? We're both pretty laid back, like a drink/smoke. Not really into clubbing etc, more great dinners/bars/bbq's & good company. He likes walking, hikes; I'm more interested in lying on the beach in the sun with something cold & wet for a chat or a read. For us this is all about chilling out for a month so we won't be aiming for fluent Thai before the trip's over or any major site-seeing. Thinking 30 days worth of hammocks, cocktails, cold beers, sun and sea.
If you're interested in getting in touch, give us an email through gumtree, be good to hear from you.
Cheers |

Hi there, we're a couple going to Thailand on the 7th dec, returning on the 5th jan... Spent about 7 months in Thailand previously on and off, so you could say we know it quite well.
try and stay away from major tourist area's, it's a very safe place to travel with a great travel network, the one thing I would say is always make sure you stay in a place where Thai women are visably working.... East Island I'd recommend is Koh Tao, keep away from the rest they really don't offer much.. West Islands, anything around and south of Krabi, it's in season so the weather is great.
Though there are a few hidden little gems which are kept quiet, well as quiet as you can until Lonely Planet gets their grubby little hands on...
Any questions, please feel free to ask. |
