Do your team not know their way around London?!

Have just returned to browsing for a new flatmate on your website after lunch to discover that, in the past hour, you have divided the Flatshare section into North and South London. However, the person responsible for deciding on the category into which to put each ad clearly has NO idea -- I've just flagged up three ads through your reporting facility, but there were DOZENS more!! Since when were Greenwich, Clapham and Brixton in NORTH London?!!

And what about those posters not specifying where they'd like to live, north or south, or giving a vague location, such as "central"?

Hi there,

We just made this change , great that you noticed.

Generally, we don't decide where ads go, the users of Gumtree decide where they want to put them.

What's happened is that we put all the old ads from the generic flatshare wanted section into the new "north flatshare wanted" category (as they had to go somewhere and there's too many to move 1 by 1).

This will sort itself out very fast as people post into the right categories and they update ... sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime.
