i have just paid £100 for a supposed puppy..which would get delivered. I cant actually believe i was such an idiot! they said he was free to a good home so i though let me call i then went and paid £100 to limbe cameroon through moneygram and not suprisingly have not heard anything back. this has nearly happened once before but i then pulled out as i thought it was to good to be true. I thought not every one can be a scammer can they?? and look turns out they all are.
looks like i will just have to save up and buy a £700 chihuahua atleast i will get it.
the email was cooperlevis@yahoo.co.uk
and he was offering a chihuahua. |

Most of the things asked by shelters are things any RESPONSIBLE breeder would ask. Dogs need a lot of love, attention, discipline and exercise to be happy, and a responsible breeder will want to make sure their dogs are going to good homes.
I see a lot of BYBs and puppy millers on gumtree, which makes me sad. When buying a pedigree dog you should be given access to KC papers and full health checks from both parents for genetic disorders. The easiest way to find a good breeder is to check with the breed club for someone in your area. Making sure you find you a responsible breeder is also a good way to avoid scams... you should visit the breeder's home, which you won't be able to do if they live in Cambodia!
Really though I think everyone want to get a pet dog should get one from their local shelter. There you can find most of the crossbreeds that are sold on gumtree for ridiculous sums, as well as purebred dogs (although they would come without parental papers, if you're a registered breeder you should know all this already. And if you're not a registered breeder, for goodness' sake, spay or neuter). You'll be giving a pup a second chance at life. The shelter staff want what's best for the dogs, so they will try hard to match you with a dog that will be a good fit. |

hi everyone! i have just had the funniest email after i inquired about a MALE ROTTWEILER pup in LONDON......(please note this was also the first email i recieved)
Hey,
thanks for the inquiry.Bella is still available and To let you
know,Bella is currently on all shots, worming s, micro chipped and
examined by our vet. Bella will come along with a puppy pack with
food, coupons, toys, and a snuggly baby blanket and a scrapbook of her first weeks of life!
Bella is 13 weeks old and weighs 3.1 lbs.Bella loves to be pampered
,she is very calm and adores playing with her toys .she is house
trained and gets well with kids, adults ,and other house hold pets.she
is loves taking rides. Thus she will make a good companion when going
for shopping.
We are presently in Berwick , We have been here for the past one
month on evangelistic works which is at times very demanding .I am
giving her up for adoption because my 7yrs old daughter (Jennifer) who
was taking care of her passed away 2 weeks ago through a car accident
when she was on her way back from her piano classes. So the occupying
nature of my job does not permit me to keep bobby here with me so i
decided to send her back home into a home where she will be well taken cared of.Giving Bella out for adoption will be a way of wiping
Jennifer's memories from my head which is making me disturbed each
time i think of her.
To adopt her,i will like to know this from you.
Are you a breeder.?
have you had a Chihuahua pup before?
will you be willing to send me some regular pics of Bella so we can
see her progress. .?
How soon will you want to have her ?
As for your further training of Bella I will send you a puppy training
booklet to help you . I will also be sending you some basic guidelines
to you ,so that you follow as soon as she arrives you.I will send her
along with some food stuff and direct you on how she takes her meals
and how
to follow her feeding schedule through out the day and
subsequent weeks to come.If you have any more questions to ask, just
let me know.will also like to know when you will like to have her.I
have attached her recent pics below.
Do have a nice day and get back to me at your Convenience.
Stay blessed like i said if i have to deliver right to your door step , she will be safe as she will come along with pets carriers who will take great care of her as she gets to your
home , She will just be so comfortable and we have have to work out
this , i will need the information i stipulated in my previous email
to you . I can have her deliver to you tomorrow morning .anyway just
let me know if this is okay with you .
I will be expecting to read from you soon
Thanks
bella/bobby which is it then?!?!?!

I sold my kittens on gumtree for £20 and had lots of interest and they all went in 24 hours to what seemed all genine nice people
But the next day there was one being sold the exact description for £70 (the kitten had very unusual markings). It may not have been the same one but it seemed suspicious, I just hope if it was that it was eventually sold to caring people. Id just like to warn the genuine sellers out there that it may work both ways and these unscupulous scammers may be buying off here and selling them on. |

Also yes, we TOTALLY AGREE with the reply above that there are PLENTY of pets in shelters, there is no need whatsoever to import pets or purchase pets.
We at petsonthenet work with hundreds of shelters and rescues nationwide who post free ads with us regularly under our Pets for Adoption section. We have rehomed thousands of pets this way, so please do not be put off by petsonthenet initiated adoptions in NZ, they are very successful! in the last week alone I know we have directly assisted to rehome several cats and dogs that were literally on DEATH ROW. So it's very rewarding work.
We just urge you to be careful and read our warnings to ensure you are dealing with a genuine NZ person firstly. This will be obvious from their phone number and address. Stay safe out there! |
do they have any shelters in or near middlesbrough? and do they rehome puppies i am looking for a puppy but i want to get one off a shelter or rescue center as they are sure to have had injections etc where as people selling normally are scams or dont have a clue how to look after puppies anyone who can help me find a puppy please email me NO SCAMMERS LOL! I AM NOT STOOPID! |

There is a big scammer at the moment going by the name of elmer, doing pugs. chihuahas, monkies and that is only what I have seen could be doing more, he will ask a lot of questions, post some magazine looking photos or photos where they do not look like they are from this country. When I googled the area phone code it came up as New Jersey. He will ask for a shipping fee.
One puppy I enquired about he said was in greater london and would cost at least £150 to transport, I wrote back saying I would collect and have not heard from him since. |
