A friend of mine has also been made to look a fool with regards to this scam business, however a slight name change - Partner You. They certainly seem to have and run tight little ships these agencies!!!
They will call you with an opportunity whilst they are on the phne to you...team work indeed.
Unfortunately this time they are mistaken if they think they can get away with such a scam, notified thier bankers, Trading standards and and add will go into the paper......lucky she has friends who can assist but for those that don't I'm sorry to hear you have been done!!!
Don't let things go....push all the way as being a pushover will certainly keep them in business.Fight for your rights is what I'd say. Trading standards have helped her andf no doubts about getting he cash back for sure!! |

What do we have to do to get them?
I have contacted the Police.
Is there anything else we can do? |

Poor You.
The police unfortunately are able to do nothing, however trading standards within your area shoudl be able to help, they are certianly helping my friend
Natwest are also involved as it's their bankers - did you keep you payment slip?
If you did not go to a meeting then a full refund will be granted as you only pay a day before the meeting so I would push back on this - go to the CAB they will be able to helo aslo.
I'm amazed as to how many people have been sucked into this neat little scam of thiers to be honest and it's shocking!!!
These people that work for them have no ethics or morals adn state that the people who join are no better than prostitutes so with that in mind it makes them PIMPS OR MADAMS as I staed in a private mail to them.
Sorry if you have lost your cash and hope you get this back at some point. |

They told me that Barclays are their bankers. I will have a look at the websites for trading standards!
Thank you for your advice.
I have spoken to my bank to see if they can recall the payment - fingers crossed!!! |

I think that they have quite a few banking partners to be honest with you but shockingly enough all these agengies Graceful,Partneryou all fall within the same call centre. I have investigated this with making calls re an intererst in joining...god forbid and they are all manchester based, with a london PO box address but guess what nobody at that address. If you have you payment slip and the police have been notified then it can be traced back to a real address.
Watchdog would be great but not great for those persons involved really and may not be something you want to communicate to all those that know you as an individual.
Unlikely that the bank will be able to recall a payment as that would be theft on their part....good old world of finance. Persue the trading standards route for sure....albeit troublesome at 1st , they will assist in getting the money back for you. In my friends case TS have contacted wethe agency and are currently unders seriois investigation - united we stand to nail the beggars - good luck and let me know if TS can assist. |

Not only does the saying make a lot of sense but scammers depend on the foolishness of their victims as well as their greed.
Problem is there are so many scamming posts nowadays on the job circuit of the gumtree. They are easily spotted as they never give details about themselves but expect you to give personal details.
One of the things to look out for are the email addresses that are used, I have seen many that have offered jobs and expect you to reply to a yahoo or hotmail address, these kind of ads will be ignored by me but there are sooo many of them. |

Foolishness & greed, well we are all victims of this throughout our life I'm sure.
For those that have been a victim and are currently not working then I suppose it was a means of making some money rather than sponge from the DSS, admiration to you all for trying an alternative route.
Yes I'm sure many people are kicking themselves at how foolish they were but when times are hard you become vunerable.
As far as jobs etc go then I would certainly advise to go via a recruitment company or perhaps LinkedIn depending on what proffesion you are in.
Even the rich are foolish and constantly greedy - the Bankers in London...they all want more!!! |
