I hired a van from Sams van hire recently and had a nightmare and shocking experience (ended up loosing £300 pounds just to save £20 pounds in van rent). I would certainly recommend everyone to stay away from this company.

I must warn everyone, sams van hire, is a complete rip off and have most unfriendly staff called soni in ealing office. I have booked a medium sized van a week before and ended up in getting a big size luton van (due to the planned house move) eventhough my booked van should have been kept aside for me since they have taken money out of my card two days before.

One has to be vary of their damage excess which is £500 (market leaders enterprise doesn't charge this). I did make a simple scratch in their vehicle as i am not used to driving such a long vehicle for which they charged me a fortune eventhough it shouldn't cost them more than £100 to get it repaired.

did you take a photo of the £500 scratch because hire
companies tend to wait till there are lots then fix them
all at the same time.saves them a fortune.
