There's a litter of 10 week old deerhound x greyhound about twenty minutes from us, so we're having a look tomorrow. I'm not sure about the colours though, I'm not keen on the blacks, would rather have a pie or wheaten.

Lurcher is more of a generic heading, than a breed as such. Technically it means a cross with any longdog [ hound ] and any other breed. Practically though, there are a few breeds that are regularly used because of their qualities of speed, agility, keen eye and temperament, so most lurchers are instantly recogniseable as such. I love them dearly Smile

My friend has a lurcher I think. He's like a really big hairy greyhound and he's so docile and laid back and just adorable. Really nice dogs Very Happy
