Anyone else think that Eriksson is being stupid by ASSURING campbell of his england place?
Whatever happened to earning your place? Instead we seem to be going into the WC with an aging centre back who has mental problems and isn't in form. |

If he's fit I'd take him - dunno if I'd definately start him but he's proved himself before.
Owen, on the other hand, I would not only assure of a squad place but also put him in the starting line up! |

yes it it, beckham is at least mentally prepared and playing first team football with consitency. i dont agree that he should be in the team though. |

| Campbell is neither in the right frame of mind or fitness to go, there is plenty of cover in that position - Terry, Ferdinand, Woodgate, Ledley King, Michael Dawson etc, if they take Campbell he won't play unless there is a dire emergency due to a plague of injuries and he is denying someone else a place in the squad who probably deserves it more than him anyway. |

zig zactly! Beckham shouldnt be captain. a captain should be the first person on the sheet and someone who is guaranteed his position by form not reputation. |
