|
|
There is a persistent ad in the 'sponsored links' from a site asking you to pay a £35 registration fee to find you this kind of work.
They also make the extravagant claim that you can make £200 per day.
You definitely do NOT have to pay to find this kind of work. I do mystery shopping and surveys for several companies and have never paid a registration fee.
In reality, the amount of work available is not nearly sufficient to achieve that kind of income. Most of the companies will not pay you travel expenses, that has to come out of the fee, but would be tax deductible if you ever managed to earn enough to pay tax.
Many of the survey companies pay you in points not cash and if you work out the cash value versus what you are paid it is well below the minimum wage. Worst of the lot is Ciao who offer as little as 10p a survey! Most set a payout limit so you may only get one or two cheques a day.
For the mystery shopping you have to be able to login to each company's site two or three times a day as there is hot competition for the assignments. If I'm lucky, I might be able to book myself 4 or 5 a week, but the average pay for these is £10.
You also have to be quick to pick up survey assignments as they drop into your email box as they can close quickly if they have a set number of responders to achieve.
You can Google for more, but these are some of the companies I work for
Mystery Shopping
GrassRoots
Retaileyes
ABA-i
GFK
Surveys
Pinecone
Home of Research
Toluna
Lightspeed

Can i draw your attention to the forum rules
5. No SPAM, commercial advertisement or links to promote other websites – this includes using a company name as your username or having a commercial link in your signature.
6. Forums are for chat not ads! - if you want to advertise a job/ sell your car/ rent out your flat etc then please post an ad in the listings. |

Once again you have made yourself look utterly ridiculous, petty and pointless.
Anyone can see my post is NOT an ad, there are NO active links, it is advising and helping people who would like to do this type of work how to avoid scams and suggesting some of the honest companies they could contact.
There's nothing in it for me, no gain whatever.
Just go and do your job properly, perhaps examine paid ads more carefully because the one I referred to, asking for payment to find survey and mystery shopping work IS an outright scam |

I think "montyzuma" is referring to your www. site in your signature when looking at your profile, for your chocolate MLM ( PYRAMID...whoopsy ) opportunity.

People can choose to go and look at my profile, they don't have to.
If Gumtree don't want people to put URL's in profiles, why provide the ability to do it.
I will refer your accusation that Xocai is a pyramid selling company to the parent company MXI and let their lawyers deal with you and possibly montyzuma as well.
Your comments have no relevance to this post in any case |

You are a MODERATOR not a contributor.
Your role here is not participatory it is administratative.
You have already been taken to task in the jobs forum for not taking down scam ads when they are first identified, clearly that is much less important than blowing your own squeaky trumpet.
Your 'reminder' about forum rules was totally irrelevant since I wasn't advertising anything, merely giving sound advice.
You are the one that needs to back off and stop being deliberately provocative and insulting every time I post.
I have the absolute right to defend the company I represent if they are falsely accused of running a pyramid scam.
I am doing no-one any harm here, while you on the other hand, allow scams to persist and Gumtree even take money from scam advertisers who are allowed to post material supposedly banned to free advertisers.[/u] |

Blimey, Jenysue is a bit oversensitive to be posting on these forums!
I don't really understand why she is so upset! Maybe she is just having a bad life! |
