How will this be enforced?
For example, if Tweetie was to post that my real name is Bob Jones and I live in Scarborough and here's a pic ...
How would you know this is or isn't true?
What if I'm the woman in Mia's avatar? (I wish!)
I've got Natalie Portman in mine - she might not like that - how would you know the person complaining is Natalie Portman?
Bearing in mind the owner of photos is the photographer and then whoever has permission/license, what if we post images from the web, including news articles?
If you take a photo of someone in public, that photo is yours. You don;t need to subject's permission to take it. If I then post it on here and
Tweetie (sorry to use you again!) complains to admin that I've posted their personal details ... how would you resolve this? |

I'm also curious about this, Lots of people around (or at least lots of the old people) know me just as much as Adele as they do Smurfer, if someone calls me by that out of habit or accident will they get banned, even though I don't have issues with it,
If I mistakenly call RoD, Mike, instead of RoD, will I get banned? after all, he is my hubby, I don't exactly refer to him as RoD at home.... |

After reading this again I have come to the conclusion that you are, in fact, the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler himself. Are you and your minions really this fucking retarded? By implementing these rules have driven away a long established community by donning a tiny mustache with a three quarter length leather jacket and knee high black jack boots. "HEIL JON!!"
And are you going to watch every post and every thread that is posted? How can you alone implement these rules? Don't you have better things to do in the day rather than sticking up for a cranky crazy Chinese he-she?

Hi Miss Understood,
I will try and answer this for you.
Previously on the forum when members have posted personal information, it has been instantly moved away to be dealt with accordingly.
Sometimes the information has been personal information and sometimes it has not been personal information. Mods will endeavour to speak to those involved to determine how to action the issue.
In relation to the avatars, I am unsure how to answer this query. I would be careful with your questioning as you raise a valid point which could possibly see the end of all avatars. Nobody wants that.
Hope this helps.

Not really, if I'm honest.
You're telling me stuff that I already know and really not answering the questions I've posed.
You then end with the threat that my enquiries will result in a course of action -undertaken by the site - that everyone else is against.
That's really dishonest and unpleasant.
You could have just said "I don't know".

Miss Understood,
It was not a threat. I have no intention of having the avatars removed nor do I want to.
I was simply trying to answer you questions the best way I could with the limited amount of knowledge I have.
Sorry I could not have helped. |

Each case will be taken on its own merit. I am not going to get into a semantical discussion about this. It's quite simple: don't post personal details of anyone else. If you are not sure, then just don't do it. |

I see.
Cross that bridge when we come to it?
I have no intentions of posting anyone's personal details or photos. I can't speak for everyone else though and that is my concern which is why I asked how you'd go about dealing with it.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond. |

So there is still a bit of skulduggery going on here which has forced me to write a new rule. It is now in the rules. Sorry about this, but until you guys can start taking responsibility for yourselves, I will have to keep doing this:
If a login is being shared, that login will be banned.
I am also considering changing the multi rule to no multis because people are still creating confusion and abusing people with multis. Please don't make me do that cause it would be really petty |
