Sun 18 October 2009 bus travel
London, Victoria Coach Station - Edinburgh, St. Andrews Sq Bus Stn
3 seats = £33.00 (3 passengers)
09:00 Depart London, Victoria Coach Station
Edinburgh, St. Andrews Sq Bus Stn 18:25
Sun 25 October 2009 bus travel
Edinburgh, St. Andrews Sq Bus Stn - London, Victoria Coach Station
3 seats = £15.00 (3 passengers)
11:00 Depart Edinburgh, St. Andrews Sq Bus Stn
London, Victoria Coach Station 20:25
So that would be £48 all in return for 3 adults (£8 each per journey), would you be cheaper paying petrol costs?

I've had a look at the maths and I can't believe how cheap the bus seems.
Say four of you share a car that does 40 miles per gallon, the journey is 405 miles.
You need to buy 10 gallons of fuel, at £4.59 per gallon, thats £45.90.
Split four ways is £11.48 each per journey.
(If the car does 35mpg then its £13.28 etc).
The bus works out at £8 each per journey.
With the bus you are guaranteed a return journey on the following sunday.
Go on you know you want to... |
