i know , you are talking to the converted
they say they are getting rid of them but theres little evidence from this end
all cameroonians for some reason
they seem to have cornered the market |

yes i twigged, hence the smiley face
im mabee slow but im thick as well
hopefully the new measures goign into place will sort all these rat bags out
the guy with the hookey sat boxes doesnt bother me as he isnt hiding anything, people know they are dodgy and they are getting what they pay for, although you are correct in what you say he shouldnt be allowed to advertise
pet, phone or accomodation scammers however are just out and out crooks |

| 3 1/2 pages before you see a genuine ad this evening. Come on Gumtree vet these ads before they go live |

I mentioned that a while ago
even a 50p charge would get rid of the cameroon scammers
problem is
1/ it goes against the gumtree free ads policy
2/ it would probably cost more to collect |

well it would help if there was someone from gumtree actually working at the weekend to delete reported ads !!! seems like that is not the case.
Gets worse instead of better.
All very amateurish |

I would do it for free if i got a delete button , it really pee's me off thinking of all the scams going on on pets . They are so easy to spot as well
Just think I got my dog of the tree and I was just lucky that I am realistic with prices and look local |

We've got people working on the weekend just not as many! Also, there are less users flagging bad ads on the weekends so we don't spot them as quick |

| Hey, I feel the frustrations of these damn pet scams. I've started looking for a Labrador and you have to be quite sharp to avoid the scammers! |

Making categories paid categories does not deter scammers.
If anything, this just creates extra work for the moderators who have to refund the payments the obvious scammers make for the ads when they're removed.....believe me, they do pay to put dodgy ads up....especially for things like pet scams and housing scams, which conning one user can net them hundreds of pounds.....and it'd be worth their while doing it for such a low investment! |

If every ad had to include a map, all the foreign ones would be severely disadvantaged, and scams very obvious.
I have been in correspondence (for fun on my part) with a [gentle]man from London insisting I will be able to love his 2 huskies, originally advertised on the Aberdeen pages, and only wanting £160 from me for freight charges. |
