| they may lie, but I don't they will not be able to complete a map realistically. I have never posted anything to Gumtree, so not used the maps - do you put in a post code, or a physical dot on a map?? If a post code, scammers would not know where to start. |

I have been in correspondence (for fun on my part) with a [gentle]man from London insisting I will be able to love his 2 huskies, originally advertised on the Aberdeen pages, and only wanting £160 from me for freight charges. |
Yeah maps a future consideration but this would not stop them entirely |

when they google for a fake address it comes with a post code
admittedly some of the dimmer ones ask for a zip code whcih tends to be a giveaway but the biggest giveaway is that they want paid by western union or moneygram
the unfortunate thing about scammers is........ they lie
if they can lie about a pup for sale its only a wee step
to lie about where they are |

I have seen plenty of scammer adds that are now using maps . So that would not stop them 1 bit .
The only thing that would stop them is a change in attitude from the scammers , rather than sit online all day trying to steal money they should get off their butts and get a job ... earn money like everyone else does by working . Have some pride and live a life with morals .
This is not a scam add but it made me laugh http://norwich.gumtree.com/norwich/97/47825097.html . A petrol dick cutter is wanted , sounds painful !!! |

He he! Well there are good ads out there. I bought Juno (my new chocolate Lab puppy) from a Gumtree ad this weekend and it all went really well.
Here's a pic of her:

Ah cute man, yeah I like staffies too but my missus wasn't so sure.
Hey, if you want to write a short piece on your experience of buying a dog on Gumtree for the blog, let me know. Don't worry about grammar and spelling too much cause our copy chick will spruce it up |

Staffs are very clever dogs but they also require ALOT of attention especially as puppies , if you and your partner work and the puppy was left home all day then hey on your return to the house you would probably find alot of damage had been done hehe . They are hugely over breed as well with a huge percent ending up being put down . If you look at the pet section on London gumtree and ignore all the scam adds you will notice that alot of the genuine adds are people selling Staff puppies .
Im not sure what you mean by short piece ? You can email me if you want .
I would say my story is quite a long 1 |

They are now using @petml.com email accounts , petml is not anything pet related it is just a free email account that is provided by another company .
Scammers = sly . |
