I posted an add for a motorcycle and recieved this email from a scammer asking for private information .
I was immediately suspicious and rang the sender who sounding like the typical scum bag foreight scammer (could'nt even speak englidh properly).

This person send me the following 'copy paste ' email which displayed all of the classic scammer characteristics including

1: Asking to pay by cheque
2: Wanting to pay without seeing the item (£600)
3: Willing to pay more if i took the add down
4: email wa vague and not specific to my add (obviousli copy-pasted)

Hi There,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm okay with the price and
condition of this order . I really need to get this right away and am
ready to pay on time , there is no need for you having it shipped. I
will like my mover to schedule a pick-up immediately you get the
payment confirmed or cashed from your bank. And i would love to
proceed with the purchase of it & my mode of payment will be by a (
cheque ) so for this transaction to be fast/effective i will urge you
to get back to me with your full name, home address and phone number
as stated below so that the cheque can be made payable to you right
away. I would have love to come for it myself or see it the way it
looks but i am always busy at work and i have many business clients to
attend to here, I'll also like you to know we just want this as a
replacement, We'll offer you an extra £10 to remove the advert from
the posted site to be sure you are selling it to us and another £30
for your run around expenses.

The amount on the cheque will include the cost of my purchase from you
& the shipping fees which will be payed to our transporters for them
to make preparation to come for the pick-up and transport it down to
us. The cheque I'll be made payable to you and bear it in mind that
the rest of the funds found with the cheque would be transferred to my
transporters as soon as it clears for them to be able to come down to
your house or the designated address where they can make the pick-up.
So you don't need to be worried as i have a good and reliable
transporter that is capable of handling the transportation processing.
As soon as you do receive the cheque you'll deposit it and when it
clears you'll deduct your selling cost and remit the remainder to my
transporters so that they can come for the pick-up as soon as they get
it.

And for further proceedings i will be waiting to receive your full
details as stated above

So i will like to hear from you at your earliest convenient time so
the transaction can continue
