| Sounds great hyperian, Gumtree people should think on that. It will help them and us and you as well on the long run, it's clearly a win-win situation. |

I'm pleased to let you know that I was contacted by Gumtree staff and they looked into the problem. Now it's sorted out for good and they gave me three days free featured ad.
Thank you. |

I'm glad they sorted your problems out, I'm still waiting after 5 days to be contacted. I'm not after any free advertising space, just what was contracted and paid for by me and for someone at Gumtree to have the decency to contact me. And I'll keep going on and on till someone does... |

| I'd like to see it become a rule that when posting on Gumtree that the price of the item MUST be included. I am looking for a dog, and I am not impressed by the fact that alot of people selling dogs don't bother to put the price in the ad. It would save me and them time if the price was there so I could decide whether it's in my price range, and not have to phone them just to find out it's not! Thanks |

As I proffessional massaghe therapist I would like to see this section seperated into therapeutic and erotic with professionals pre registering to maintain a good quality and professionalism. Also to see the therapeutic ads on the front page of services
Many thanks |

My suggestion - wipe out this feeback forum and start again.
Post admin's email address all over the place so people can whinge directly instead of clogging up the forum with their crap.
"Feedback" to me doesn't mean whinge about every tiny little thing that may only affect one person - and that's all this forum is.
No wonder most of the threads don't receive any response. Who could possibly be arsed with the gazillion "why has my ad been deleted" whines.
The email to contact Admin directly should be posted very clearly on every section of the forum. You never know, someone might take notice. |

It would rob me of a great deal of amusement though. |

Jester are you brighter than Twitty
So get an erotic services section like craigslist and vivastreet and stop acting like a load of sexually repressed idiots.
That's how to clean up the massage section then people who want a proper massage or an erotic one can go to the relevent section and not wade through the shit and waste money phoning what they don't want..
Sort it NOW Jester......NOW |

| You can try giving us some feedback on why seemingly innocuous ads are being pulled. It just seems quite bizarre, with no logic to it. |

Does anybody actually work at Gumtree ?
I am looking at the massage Ads and you can clearly see that so many are duplicated...If you are only allowed one ad per day then some one is not doing their job ....give the job to me and i will do it...
Get the duplicate ads sorted...i flag then but nothing gets done they are still there....
so who's working ? No one by the looks of it... |

I've noticed that on the Portsmouth site, when you try to view rental properties on offer, it only shows that days ads - yet this isn't the case for the Southampton site. Please can you look at this - I'm sure a lot of people with properties for rent are missing out on possible tenants because unless someone is lucky enough to view it on the very day it is posted, it won't be seen.
Thanks |

Can You please add the city of Townsville to the Australian Gummtree Website, Townsville is a very large city with a population of 1 million and growing. I love this site but would make it easyer to use by adding Townsville to it.
Thanks |

How exactly? Since most of those ads are bullshit anyway, why would the advertisers then be truthful about their age?
As for the comment on quotes, that's just your own incompetence, fool. |

I started advertising room about a week ago and I came across many duplicate adverts which cover most of the results-page and irritate other users. Later on, I have noticed that the problem is across more cathegories...
Could you please set a BOT(or automatic check when submitting an ad) which would check that the title & e-mail does not exist across the database? Most of the spammers do not even bother to change the title, so it would save me, admins and all users time, to browse whole pages full of duplicates. I believe that many don't bother reporting those to admins or admins are too busy to deal with them.
I would even punish the spammers by sending automatic email stating, that they abused the system and the ad will not appear at all...
I'm not familiar with the Gumtree's database system, but in MySQL it would take about 10minutes to make a code, which checks the values before submitting the ad.
Wish you all the best!

CHEESED OFF OF GUMTREE 4X4 IN SUSSEX.
We have corresponded with you before about the number and nature of calls and even e-mails which we regularly endure as it is easier to find a contact phone or fax number for our 4x4 business than it is for Gumtree.com.
This has come up yet again this morning as we received a fax from Humberside Police asking for information regarding an advert placed on your website which involved a criminal investigation.
It seems that there are two choices here, either buy our domain name off us or put a decent, easily visible set of contacts INCLUDING A PHONE NUMBER on your website.
I am passing your contact feedback details to DC Lorraine Mackie of Humberside Police in the hope that you will be able to assist her with her enquiries and look forward to hearing from you. |

| it seems a little unfair that edinburgh has a forum and glasgow hasn't. i can understand that some glaswegians would use it for abuse and nothing else but its a sweeping generalisation if this is the case |

There are far too many automated postings appearing especially in the personals sections all over the place.
Please, gumtree admin, add a captcha. Recaptcha is an excellent solution, or a home brewed one.
This will improve the quality of your ads.
Thank you in advance |

How does one get paid for selling an item?Could I ask the buyer to post a cheque to me in the post as I do not want to meet strangers in person.
I couldn,t find my question above in Gumtree help topics-even though it might be there-also I obviously think that it would be stupid to be giving credit card or bank account details.
