When Gumtree was recently given a fresh new look I noticed that the search options in the "Rent" (Houses and Flats) section aren't as good as they used to be - specifically when searching for the number of bedrooms.

At the moment you can search for properties with 1+ / 2+ / 3+ bedrooms etc etc, but that's not much use if you want to search specifically for houses / flats with just 1 bedroom (or 2, or 3), as if you search for 1+ bedrooms, you end up getting every single advert.

Can there be an option to search for the exact number of bedrooms in the property, like there used to be? Basically, just better search filtering.

Why does gumtree remove ads that are meant as warning to others to prevent them being scammed yet gumtree takes a dim view of this as a chat forum and removes the ads and allows the scammers to carry out their vile sick immorale disgusting scams.

Oh I've been reporting the doggy ads alright, but as quick as I can report them there's more coming back on. Have you had a look at London's site, there were about 100 scam ads all one after the other, my God the dogs have better clothes and accessories than alot of people can afford for themselves! They're so obviously scams. One question though, I've noticed that the scammers inundated the site at the weekends, is this because you work on a skeleton staff and their ads aren't removed as quickly as during the week.

I would like the tuition section in 'services' as you have in London to be available in all areas, or certainly in Plymouth, Exter and Bristol, where I would like to be able to advertise. It would make it so much easier for people trying to find a tutor(and there are lots out there, especially end August/ beginning of September.)

Hi, I've been using gumtree for some time now with great success in both buying and selling. One suggestion for making it even better would be to provide an alternative search where you first choose the thing you are looking for and then after being presented with a list of available goods select by town or region.

Please would you add the option to search accommodation listings by the date they are available.

This is something that you really should have added years ago and puts you at a competitive disadvantage to other sites. I have started using Spare Room because they offer this option and I don't have to trawl through hundreds of adds to find ones for the dates I'm looking for.

Positive user experience - it's the key to any successful website. Adding a date available search will take you one step closer.

Gumtree should simply actually provide the service it purports to provide. I've been trying to put up an ad for flatshare over 3weeks now, it keeps getting deleted within a few hours. I've asked to know if there's a problem with it but I got no answer.
My ad 46098648 keeps getting deleted or I can't access to renew or edit it for no reason and we're still searching for a flatmate!
http://www.gumtree.com/london/48/46098648.html. It's currently stuck at Thursday. I've tried everyday to renew it but cant access it and no one has responded from customer service. Gumtree used to be very efficient.

Hey I checked your ad, there is nothing wrong with it and is live, although someone did report it as illegal by mistake but this was rectified by the admin team right away.

It is against terms to repost the same ad everyday so my recommendation to you would be to start a new ad with the same copy
