I hope I'll be able to update it in 2days? Thanx.

Weird! My recommendation to you would be to start a new ad rather with the same words when you need it updating

I have posted this before but up to now no one seems to have acted on it, in the UK mainland, Scotland and Wales almost all the cities are covered by Gumtree, in all of Ireland north and south theres only 3, 2 of those are in the south Dublin and Cork and one in the north Belfast.
Dublin is between 3 and 4 hours from Derry and Belfast is 85 miles away from Derry, Derry is the second largest city in Northern Ireland yet we have to post on or can only browse Belfast?
I would also like to mention our neighbouring Donegal, County Donegal surrounds Derry on 3 sides, County Donegal is also the largest area in the south because it is a combination of many other parts such as Buncranna, Moville, Letterkenny to mention a few.
I think it is about time that Gumtree catered for Derry and Donegal, it would be proper for Derry and Donegal to have their own listing space/section but I am sure the people of Derry and Donegal would be happy with a combined Derry/Donegal section if thats all Gumtree are willing to offer.
Come on Gumtree, the island of Ireland doesent only consisted of Belfast, Dublin and cork, the rest of us are fed up being ignored.

Hey! You'll be happy to know that we are working on an Irish specific solution that will cover all of these issues and will be released in the new year.

Sent it off to Jay_s although I don't think he is in today. He's the dude that makes these kinds of decisions. There may of course be things we haven't considered like would a category like this attract kids to start trading on Gumtree which of course is a massive mine field so Jay can give us more feedback.

its the parents that sell the toys on behalf of the kids...i know a few that decided to get rid of some...so the mum lists them on here...then they get the mum to buy more from here...lol ...like a toy swap shop..lol ..if you look on gumtree most of the sections are swamped with toys anyway....be easier if they were all grouped together in one section rather than spread all through all the sections ...think toys would end up bigger than sports...i was selling my ker-plunk...but could'nt decide which section....lol

Hi Bobby_B

Thanks for the suggestion, it's a glaring omission. We'll be adding a Toys category in a couple of weeks time.

Cheers

Stop allowing illegal and misleading ads for fake Chinese copies of Links/Tiffany/Pandora Jewellery.Either have a one day delay to allow you to check ads before they posted or at least have the dececy to remove reported ads quickly when reported and not allow them to keep running indefinately. It is radically wrong for you to allow your subscribers to be mislead by these con artists.

Dude, if we delayed ads by a day the community would go mental! People moan like crazy when their ads are delayed by a few hours. If an ad is reported it is removed within an hour or two usually

Hi Moderator

Just to draw your attention to the fact that on all the Scottish city sites there is an ongoing constant stream of ads from the same advetisers for poor quality fake Chinese copies of Links/Tiffany and Pandora jewellery.
I report them on a daily basis but they never seem to be deleted and are still there up to 8 days later.
Appart from the intellectual rights issue these ads are misleading your suscribers.
The genuine items sell for between £200 and well over a £1000 the adverised items are not genuine, cost about £8.50 each online from China and are sold for between £25 and £70.
The pictures in the ads are set up so that it looks as though the product are genuine but all the boxes, bags etc are also Chinese copies.
Hopefull someone will get arounf to checking out these illegal scam ads and deleting them on a regular basis

hi ,its pure dead simple, just log on to the glasgow ,mainly(or aberdeen/edinburgh/dundee) site and search for links of london mainly ( or tiffany or pandora) this will throw up loads of ads everyday for the past two weeks at least from the same advertisers ,advertising the same fake copies. You will see every possible item for sale, friendship bracelets, sweetie bracelets, rhodium bracelets, charms, links of london bracelets ( a variety of).
I have clicked on the report ad for everyone of them ,sometimes to find thatthe ad has already been reported. 8 days later all the illegal ads breaching intellectual rights and misleading your subscribers are still there and are being added to by the same advertisers ( duplicate ads) on an almost daily basis.

Hi

There are still literally dozens of live ads dating back up to a month ago offering for sale Chinese fake copies of Links of London jewellery.

Despite all of them being reported and many posts on this forum giving full details of the offenders Gumtree seem to be loathe to delete these misleding ads.
