| Quote: | | Islamists in southern Somalia have stoned a man to death for adultery but spared his pregnant girlfriend until she gives birth. |
Yep, you read it correctly>>
| Quote: | | An official from the al-Shabab group said the woman would be killed after she has had her baby. |
That's considerate of them!
Don't worry, the baby will be looked after by relatives!
Anyway, it seems to be a popular pastime, as some 300 people turned up to watch, and one eyewitness was willing to share the experience with the BBC>>
| Quote: | | "He was screaming and blood was pouring from his head during the stoning. After seven minutes he stopped moving," an eyewitness told the BBC. |
There's no mention of whether 7 minutes is good or bad, nor if the event was free, or ticket only!
I don't know Which is worse
Committing adultery knowing the punishment
Throwing stones at another human with full intent on killing them
Going to watch such a slaughter, and staying until the end and timing the event! |

Very cruel purnishment, its quite barbaric actually.
I went to Dubai some years ago for a week, and read the local newspaper there were news about stonning people to death and there were people to watch it, its like back to more than 100 years ago... |

It's just mad people using something (religion) as an excuse to exercise their power over other people |

Yes, when i first read that in Dubai a few years ago, I was really shocked about the backwardness of a country could get. Also, how people could be so brainwashed by religious, cos they were trapped in a society that no way they could rebell cos its a sin for them so they are told they were born to the destiny. Thats sad.
I think it will only change when people start to realise they are being brainwashed and used for their leader's own agenda of controlling people for their own power substainity and fortune. |

I think people who live there know nothing more than what they are told, but those who live here still believe a religious that tells people to torture and kill is unbelievable. they should have the intellegent to know its not right and it's backward and should make their own mind up and not just follow what their mom and dad told them what they should be or do. |
