I have an ad for a room and was asked for some info on the room. On providing it i got this reply, looks like fraud to me so watch out...
Thanks so much for your response, the room details and location seems okay by me.I would like to have the room for 6 months and i will be coming in as soon as i have secured the room.
Concerning payment, i have contacted my client and he will make out payments to you.He will be paying you in excess of £3,500, because he is also responsible for my travelling expenses.
As soon as you recieve the cheque, you are to present the cheque to the bank for clearance.Immediately it gets cleared you deduct the rental price of the room for 2 months and send the balance to my travelling agent. This would be my travelling expenses.I would give you the agent"s information as soon as the cheque is cleared.
I want you to see this as a favour you'll be willing to do for a roommate. As soon as i get there i will make preparations for the remaining months as well as the bills.
If this seems okay by you ,kindly get back at me with the following informations.
Name,
Address,
Postal Code,
Telephone number
I would be very glad if you can be of helping hand.
Best Regards .
