We will happily sponsor anybody that has good skills that we can place with our clients, the Dept Of Work & P in Sheffield charges £150 for us to process a work permit although we go for Tier 2 applications (rare skill sets in the UK).....we do NOT charge our applicants ANYTHING at all (as we get a placement fee from the client). There are no laws against actually giving out work permits, you just have to follow the guidelines. What we ask our applicants to provide is the the last 3 years references (on headed paper) copy of passport signed by a Justice Of The Peace and copies of education certificates (again signed by a JP). The whole process at the moment is taking 2-3 weeks to turn around. If people are charging £1,000 that means they are pocketing £850 for their time which is a rip off....the forms take 25 minutes to fill out....I know because I have bee doing these applications for 7 years.......this obviously doesn't apply to everyone, only those with good skills.....Hope this has given some of you some help.... |

Nobody, in the 10 months I've been browing this forum, has ever identified an employer who sponsors work permits, presumably because they'd rather keep this info to themselves rather than increase the number of competitors.
And the only thing that usually results from posting an email address is lots of scammers contacting you to try and relieve you of your money.
If you are highly skilled, my understanding is that you can get into the UK on the Highly Skilled Migrant programme and you do not need to be sponsored up front by an employer but are free to find work with any organisation when you arrive.
Look up the details of the types of work permits available on the British embassy website for your country which contains info about the schemes and their criteria.
A job ain't going to drop out of the sky for you because you are one of hundreds of people who post a begging message on this forum alone desiring company sponsorship. |

Home office. Contact numbers on the site. don't bother contacting anybody who claims they can assist as there are lots of amateur scamsters seeking fees to either give you bad advice or expensive advice you can get for free on the government site.

"Not everyone already in the UK is eligible for leave to remain as an HSMP participant. The Immigration Rules state who can be granted leave as an HSMP participant. If you have leave in one of the following categories, then you will be eligible to apply for leave to remain:
Work permit holders
Students (if you have obtained a degree qualification at a relevant institution and, if appropriate, have the written consent of your official sponsor).
Postgraduate doctors, and dentists
Working holidaymakers
Science and Engineering Graduates Scheme (SEGS) participants
Innovators
Doctors taking the PLAB Test or doctors and dentists undertaking Clinical Attachments or Dental Observer Posts, where they are using the HSMP priority application process for general practitioners
Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme participants, who have the written consent of their official sponsor where appropriate.
If you are in the UK but do not have leave in one of these categories, then you should leave the UK to apply for entry clearance as an HSMP participant. "

Hi there everyone, have never used this b4 so not sure if i'm getting this right.
I was reading everyones mails about worlk permits and i am in a similar situation, so heres my story.... my partner is an Ausrailian citizen and today had to go back to aus because our desperate attempts to extend his visa failed! So now we are apart and are still on the case trying to find a way to get him back in the uk. We have been told that his best option is to apply for the uk training and work experience program thta can keep him here for three years. I am currently trying to find any companies within air conditioning or plumbing to sponsor him under this scheme. He has relevant experience in this field, but i am really stuggling to find a company/employer willing to sponser. If anybody has any tips or advice at all i would be so so grateful!! My email is katherinewoodward23@msn.com
Thanks for reading |
