Hi Kyle
I also have an MBA from Coventry, UK and have been trying for a job for almost a year now.. I have had small temp jobs here in UK but nothing close to matching my skills and my 3 years IT experience.. I would be so thankful if you can email me with some advice and info at anjum.hisan@gmail.com. im searching for companies who issue workpermits and hopefully will make a list and apply to every single one of those, I am on SEGS and I want to get a HSMP next year but im afraid my salary is letting me down. I've been applying to atleast 50 jobs a day for the past few months and land interviews, but the employers get spooked when i talk about visa Im just hoping someone gives me just ONE chance to prove myself but its not coming it will be so nice if you email me with info that can help me change things.
| Kyle wrote: | AVI - great advice, it took me over £2,000 to find the right company. I have an MBA from Florida State, which I was told would help me to find a good job. I did find a job but they wanted me to do the running around for the ork permit.
I wanted to do it on the cheap and decided to do the papaer work myself after reading a lot on information and getting tips from people who'd been through the process. I gave all the information to my potential employer and the application was refused - the company then dumped me.
I went to IAS as someone above mentioned, and three different people gave me conflicting advice. A flat mate said she heard a company called Breytenbacs (or something like that) was good. They charged me to see them and their advice was terrible.
I did find another employer willing to get a work permit for me, but again I had to do the running around. The company made the application and it was refused based on advertising.
I did find a company who are absolutely brilliant and somehow got the refusal overturned - I have recommended lots of people to them. I want to mention their name but I don't want this to seem like an advert by them.
All I will say is there are many employers who will give you a chance, but they are hard to find. There are many agencies out there, but few who give honest and clear advice (and for free). I have now been here for two years and I am having a great time.
As for the IAS, I think the person who wrote that comment must work for them or must of had some baaad advice from a bad agency. |

Always interesting to see so many 'Guest ' logins in this topic, all saying the same company is good?
If you dont know what you are doing with your work permit/hsmp, dont try and submit it, especially if you have to do an Ec (entry Clearance) as well, this means you submit the workpermit here then go home/ out of the uK to get the second part of the visa so you can come back in....
Worst case scenario is your work permit is declined and you are outside the UK.....then what
Get sound advice, I have been burnt myself with bad advice in the past.
I have set up http://www.tier1-workpermit.com as a hub for people to find out whats happening in the immigration world, up coming changes etc and there a few reviews of companies I have called about work permits.... one of them is hilarious and shows there are a lot of scammers out there just after your cash.
I work in the immgration sector but am not allowed to give advice as I am not OISC registered.
Be careful, get advice from OISC registered people, its free to ask questions if its not - as someone else has said - try another company

I am currently enrolled in a Montessori Diploma course here in Toronto and am looking for a Montessori school in London or an agency that is willing to proivde me with a work permit. I don't qualify for HSMP and not sure if I want to apply for the WHV and only get two years in London (out of which I can only work for 1 year)
Does anyone know of an agency or a school that will hire me AND provide a work permit?
I don't fall under the shortage list as Montessori is not considered as COMPULSORY SCHOOLING
Please help!!!! |

As far as I can see 'Kyle' despite his popularity, made his posting a year and half ago and hasn't been back to the forum.
Also, no-one seems to have volunteered the names of any UK companies that actually sponsor applicants based overseas.
My advice is for you to check the British Embassy website for your country to check the schemes that you qualify for.
And realise that by posting your contact details here, you are sending out your desperation to scammers and dodgy visa companies that visit forums to identify suckers. |

check out www.commonwealthcontractors.com they may be able to help you. By the way whoever posted that crap about a recruitment agency sponsoring a work permit is talking complete rubbish. A recruitment agency is not allowed to sponsor a work permit as it is supplying personnel to a client which is not allowed. He's been doing it for 7 years... good 1 |

Are you sure that your visa will drop out of the skies because you post a begging message on the Gumtree?
Are you sure that kindly companies and nice agencies will swoop down and give you the sponsorship you require?
Or, when you post your desparation here, will someone with a hotmail account try to charge you extortionate fees to process your paperwork when you are not and never will be eligible for the HSMP scheme?
Or if you are eligible that it might be cheaper to apply directly to the Home Office where the full criteria and process is published?
Just send me your money directly. I am upfront about my services. You won't get your visa but i will spend your cash on beer.

I have to agree, I stumbled upon this forum with the need to see if there are any info on permits, but it's just astonishing how volatile people are. Scary. No wonder the solicitors make so much money. |

It's not the solicitors I'm worried about - at least they are trained and belong to a professional body.
It's the scammers who post fake opportunities and fleece people desperate for visas that bother me.
Advertising desperation must make a scammers day - they don't even need to make much effort at all to find the keen and the naive. |
