|

Hi guys I seem to be in the Same box as some of you.
I got a permanent job with one of the city companies but seem hesitant to support my application for tier 2.
I checked several sites to find out whether my company is on the list of those companies but in vain. But finally I found it, some sites even sell that list but you can get it free........how about that.. My company is in the list but are not willing. what do I do?
click on this link:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/employersandsponsors/pointsbasedsystem/pbsregisterofsponsors
any ideas on how I can go about this. Tried to used the calculator for HSMP made only 85 points out of 95. Please advise.

Hello Kyle,
I have spotted this forum thread and I am hoping you are still actively following it. My girlfriend is of Chinese nationality and already has spend many thousands of pounds on getting the correct visa but always had bad luck with it. Could you please send me the company that help you?
Thank you very much

We will happily sponsor anybody that has good skills that we can place with our clients, the Dept Of Work & P in Sheffield charges £150 for us to process a work permit although we go for Tier 2 applications (rare skill sets in the UK).....we do NOT charge our applicants ANYTHING at all (as we get a placement fee from the client). There are no laws against actually giving out work permits, you just have to follow the guidelines. What we ask our applicants to provide is the the last 3 years references (on headed paper) copy of passport signed by a Justice Of The Peace and copies of education certificates (again signed by a JP). The whole process at the moment is taking 2-3 weeks to turn around. If people are charging £1,000 that means they are pocketing £850 for their time which is a rip off....the forms take 25 minutes to fill out....I know because I have bee doing these applications for 7 years.......this obviously doesn't apply to everyone, only those with good skills.....Hope this has given some of you some help.... |
I have read all these posts with increasing horror..
So you can get sponsored for a work permit to work in the public where your qualification doesn't even have to be relevant? WTF. What about the people already here who have the relevant qualifications and experence - or retrain some to the 2million + unemployed.
I'm all for work permits and sponsorship when there are plenty of jobs but hearing this sort of thing is really starting to piss me off, a ridiculous system! The public sector is paid for by the taxes of the very people looking for those jobs, in the private sector I have no problem, but what the hell is this government thinking of allowing this in the public sector - there are millions of UK citizens looking for work and they sponsoer you to take public sector jobs! WTF!
I'm now going to write to my MP and the media, this insanity has got to stop.
Good grief.

Hi to all,
I’m Eric Lantin currently working as a Storage and Netbackup Adminstrator representing Sun Microsystem here in Singapore. I have a 10 years working experience as a System Administrator for Netbackup. Most of the project that I have handle are Netbackup upgrade, VTL Implementation (Falcon Stor), Server Consolidation. Currently I’m managing 2 clients here in Singapore ( EDS for SOE Project and Tech Semiconductors) for their Netbackup issues. I believe that I’m capable of performing the task if given the chance.
Currently im looking for a company that is willing to sponsor me for a working permit in UK. If you happen to know some companies please do let me know.
Thank you very much and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerly yours,
Eric Lantin

But all will be read I promise, and be assured that if I have anything suitable I WILL come back to you.......
Unfortunately the IT side is particularly quiet and we are more busy seeking Chartered Civil Engineers, Environmental Experts, Electrical Engineers, Highway Designers etc.........As I said before I am happy to sponsor people for work permits, BUT only if I can find a suitable vacancy. And a client who is willing to take an overseas employee....
I have recently placed one Indian engineer, an Engineer from Pakistan
I am now finding that clients ARE definately coming round to taking on more overseas workers and are happy to get involved in the SIMPLE process of getting a work permit. Certainly in the construction industry, and especially in London there will be a dire shortage of skills as the Olympic construction projects get under way. |
