Hi All,
I'm about to buy another backpack (my current 90L one is wayyy over ambitious) and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions - especially of stores in london which were really helpful.
Am looking at buying the Berghaus Spirit (Womens) but am open to recommendations. I need something that can fit 3 months of travelling goodies at a time.
I know that you have to go and try them on and find what's most comfy etc etc, but I'd like to have a few ideas beforehand rather than spend hours on end tramping up and down stores.
All help most appreciated !!!! |

my advice would be get one which opens like a suit case. If you get a normal style one the thing you want is always at the bottam.
Alot of the new ones have a side zip wich opens the backpack like a suit case |

| Its deffo worth spending a few £££ on a decent pack. At the end of the day you are going to be wearing it and relying on its sturdiness a lot. i would probably suggest somewhere like Blacks - or any army surplus shop if you're not to worried about the trendiness of it! |

| Try someone like Field and Trek in Covent Garden. You want a shop where the staff know about what they are selling and actually help you! If you are going to fork out cash for something like a backpack, you need to be shown how to adjust it all properly so you don't injuure your back etc. I would recommend Macpac, particulalry the Gemini, they are more expensive than some others (mine cost about 400 aussie dollars two years ago) but they have superior harnesses and also a great repair network around the world where you can get genuine repairs done. |
