Has anyone stayed here? I have heard Very Good, Average and Terrible reviews!! Please fill me in on your recent experiences?

I am planning an island hopping trip in July. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to do this? Through a packages such as Travelmood or independently?

Anyone suggestions on the best islands to visit?

island hopping in greece is as easy as jumping on a bus - go independent and save your cash and your time for yourself

Would it be fine to book ferries once there?
Or is there a website which you can book online before hand?

Any good hostel suggestions?

sort out ferries there. greeks and computers dont get on. give yourself 24hrs before departing to guarantee a ticket - especially at weekends. weekends is very busy with the locals moving around too.

hostels, pensions, rooms there are so many of them as are there islands too where are you going?

yeah, it looks like all the websites are a bit prehistoric! Planning on flying from London to Athens, spend a day or 2 there. Then go to a few islands (ios, naxos, santorini, mykonos).

Although only have a week to ten days, so I am thinking of only going to 2 different islands- as long as there is sun, i don't really care which beach I am lying on!

I know these islands well. Naxos and Paros are both worth a stay. Avoid Ios unless you like drunken tourists spewing everywhere. Mykanos is a pretty decent party island if thats your thing.

Naxos - stay at a small village called Agia Anna. About a mile out of Naxos town. Rent a scooter to get yourself around. Agia anna has a beautiul beach, taverners and studios right on the water.

Paros - stay at Naoussa. Best beach is on the otherside of the bay called Kolumbithres (sp) reached by boat or again rent scooter and hurtle around there. Try and get yourself to the 'valley of the butterflies' on the west side of the island.
